Music is a part of everyone’s lives and every student has their unique interests, skills, and abilities. Lessons focus on the individuals student’s needs and interests so that they can enjoy the skills they earn. Learning music doesn’t happen overnight, but the skills students develop in music will give them an entire lifetime of enjoyment, and will help students in everyday life in ways you can’t even begin to imagine. Smith has been teaching elementary music at various schools across the east side of King county. As well as substituting in the Bellevue school district.
Aside from teaching in the surrounding districts, Kayla also teaches private flute lessons in her home in the Bellevue/Redmond area.
During her spare time, Kayla does flute clinics at a high school in Bellevue. She was also the conductor of the large ensemble at Flute Boot Camp in Kirkland.
